At CronHealth (operated by Bagrat Hakobyan, an individual entrepreneur based in Armenia) ("CronHealth", "we", "our", or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data and operational information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

CronHealth acts as the Data Controller for personal data processed through the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our services. This includes:

  • Account Information: Name (optional), email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Monitor and Ping Data: Monitor names, schedules, cron expressions, grace periods, generated ping URLs, ping timestamps, status history, alert history, and metadata needed to determine whether scheduled work is healthy or late.
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and interactions with the platform.
  • Payment Data: Processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, which acts as an independent Data Controller for billing and payment information. We do not store full payment card details.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity: To provide and operate the Service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: To improve performance, maintain security, prevent abuse, and enhance user experience.
  • Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws, tax rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Consent: For cookies and optional tracking where required.

3. Automation Data and Monitoring Content

CronHealth receives success pings from scheduled jobs and stores operational metadata needed to provide monitoring, status history, missed-ping alerts, and recovery notifications. CronHealth does not run your jobs, access your servers, or require you to send secrets, database dumps, business records, or job payloads.

You are responsible for avoiding sensitive information in monitor names, ping URLs, query strings, or other data you choose to send to the Service.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the CronHealth platform.
  • Receive pings, calculate monitor status, and maintain recent ping history.
  • Send service-related communications, including missed-ping alerts, recovery alerts, security notices, and account updates.
  • Process transactions and manage subscriptions when paid plans are available.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Detect abuse, prevent fraud, debug issues, and improve reliability.

5. Service Providers and Subprocessors

We use trusted third-party service providers (subprocessors) to operate our service. These providers process data on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect your data, and do not own your data.

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, networking, and logs).
  • Email delivery providers (transactional and alert emails).
  • Analytics, security, and abuse-prevention providers where necessary.
  • Payment processor - Paddle (billing and subscriptions).
  • Cookiebot or similar consent-management services for cookie preferences.

We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose personal data where required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent protections.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure proper functionality, maintain secure sessions, reduce abuse, and improve user experience. We may use Cookiebot as a consent management platform so you can manage your cookie preferences in accordance with applicable laws.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Account data: While your account is active, plus limited retention as needed for legal and fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Monitor and ping data: While your account or monitor is active, subject to plan limits, cleanup cycles, and operational retention windows.
  • Logs and technical data: For a limited period to support security, performance, debugging, and abuse prevention.
  • Billing and transaction records: As required by accounting, tax, and legal obligations.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services rely on third-party infrastructure and providers. While we select reputable vendors and apply contractual safeguards, third-party systems are not fully under our control.

Our services involve automated processing to determine monitor status and send alerts; however, we do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

Depending on applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Request data portability where applicable.
